You do not need a referral to attend a physiotherapist unless you intend to claim through WorkCover or Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA).
Our reception staff will be able to assist if you have any concerns when making a booking.
The initial consultation will include taking a thorough history pertaining to your problem followed by a comprehensive physical examination.
Your problem will then be discussed with you in terms that you understand with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. A collaborative treatment program will be worked out with you so you are in no doubt as to what to expect during your recovery. Your treatment will commence during the initial consultation using physical therapies such as joint mobilisation or manipulation, soft tissue massage or acupuncture. You may also be required to undertake a structured exercise program as part of your recovery. Our clinic encourages a hands on approach to your management.
Depending on the area you require treatment for, we would suggest comfortable loose fitting clothing. Our private treatment rooms ensure your comfort and gowns are available if necessary.
Kids lead active lives and often experience sporting injuries of developmental aches and pains. Correct management of these complaints ensures a rapid return to function and limits further complications as your child grows.

Some symptoms may require further investigations and a physiotherapist can refer for you for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or x-rays. For other scans we would liaise with your medical practitioner to organise.
